I'd like to buy an Xtant mono big-dawg: a 1001x (version 2 ... 1000w @2ohm) or if i had to, w 1001x OR dx ...working of course!!

dirtrider, is it the one in Kenosha for $150 ... ? if so, that one is the X1001 - not exactly what i was looking for. i'd like to find the 1001dx older version chrome with the square holes.

maybe u know a different one?

as for original packing? not that important ... cover on the amp, kinda important - yea.

willing to pay ... hmmm. maybe $3.68?

if i had a 1001dx i'd be using it!!! an awesome amp.

the X1001 is an MTX amp in a chrome cover. Not a bad amp but not a great amp either.

the 1001x and 1001dx are both true xtant.

i currently have two 403a and two 3300c. i may pick up two non-working 403a and fix them. i may start fixing amps on a regular basis, especially xtant.

i find 1001DX and then 1001D ... as i look over the spec sheet from XTANT ( Xtant Manuals & Installation Reference )

there seems to be nothing different.
