I've already searched and didn't really find what i was looking for.

I was wondering how to set the Xover knob on my subwoofer amp. i always thought crossover controled the frequencies at which the sub plays, but when i turn the knob it seems to get louder. am i just using it wrong? any help would be appreciated. an explaination on what exactly xover is might also help.

crossover = A device intended to separate the different frequency bands and redirect them to different components

set the xover to your liking, adjust it around while listening to your music and decide, I have mine at 50 hz, most people generally set their's at 80 hz, you decide

thanks, i was just wondering if there was a certain way to set it appropriately. so i just set it to how i like it?

yes, i'm sure it's not the gain
