so i can just buy the cheapest 360 from walmart and then buy a a game with the 1080p support on it and it'll throw it on there for me?

Yes, but I would recommend the premium edition since the low end one does not have the cables to hook up to an HDTV or the harddrive. When you add up the cost of the component hookup cables and either a memory card or hard drive, you will be right at the premium version or more. And the premium also comes with a wireless controller instead of wired and a headset for Live.

I also forgot to mention that the Xbox magazine (OXM) contains a disk with all the updates on it in every issue.

I am planning on getting a PS3 also, we have 2 360's right now, but I am going to wait until the PS3 drops in price. That is way to much for a gaming system. But I will be picking up a Wii before Xmas for my oldest son.
