I just bought a Wii. Should be here Thursday. My wife really wanted one, but I wanted a PS3.
One thing I kinda like about the Wii is you can buy Wii-points at places like Bestbuy and download older Nintendo and Sega games onto the Wii's memory. I love the old-school games so thats a plus for me.

Would probably help if you stated if you need blu-ray, is it for movies, strictly for games, what type of games, is it for family use, would there be multiple players/group players etc.
PS3 - If you watch movies/blu-ray a lot.
XBOX 360 - If you like playing a lot of FPS games
Wii - If your family likes to play games, or have friends over all the time.

I see the Wii maintaining its already dominant presence, but I think this is the year the PS3 catches up to the 360.
I personally would rather play games on my ps3. I also think it is more future proof than the other systems, 360 games already span multiple DVD's in some cases.
Not like any of this matters as long as you enjoy playing them though. I own PS3 and 360, lookin to get a wii when they are no longer hoarded by the soccer moms of america.

360 is ugly btw, unless you own the elite lol imo. RROD ftl. The system itself is plagued by alot of things, but the software library is probably the best of the 3

PS3- sux,..,y? ....cuz there games dont have blu ray only there movies...so if u want to watch movies vs playing games get a ps3

What? ALL PS3 games are on Blu Ray Discs.
I personally love my PS3; that doesn't mean I hate the 360 though. If I had to pick, I'd definitely pick my PS3 over my Wii -- the Wii is more of a family fun/friends thing...if you're just playing a game yourself or with just 1 friend then xbox or ps3 is the way to go.

i love the wii cause i play with my kids, but its tireing
ps3 looks amazing on hd, games and movies, i dont really like there online play to much they need to fix it up some.
360 looks good to, they got more games out, hate the fact that i got to pay for online
downloadable games are good on the wii cause they are old school, ps3 got some weird downloadable games but there cool and 360 games are ok, but i play the 360 more until the ps3 starts dropping the next gen games then 360 collects dust

theres a sony headquaters here in nyc
and i went there 2 find out about the ps3 and i was told by one of the techs that the reason there games r not on blu ray it will take 3-4 blu ray disc to play the game

What? All PS3 games are blu ray. All of them. The format on the disc case is even specified as blu ray.
My vote for game libraries goes

Overall, the Wii serves its purpose for badass Nintendo games, and the PS3 is an incredibly built system that just needs some better games released. 360 is the most balanced of all of them right now. Largest game library, far more offerings than just FPS unless you aren't looking. Hadware that can run these games extremely well. Lack of built in wireless, and overall hardware problems are going to be a huge kick in the sack for the long run, I think.

if you download some games from the playstation store you can use the motion sensor. which is kind of like the wii. i see the ps3 as a mix of both but still better in some parts.
