XBOX 360 Question?

i have the core system and am wanting to play regular xbox games. it says i need some other thing for it. im assuming its the memory chip or something. i went and bought one. before i open it i am wondering if thats what i needed?

need a harddrive i do believe and you need to go to http://www.microsoft.com and search for the backwards compatible patch and burn it to a cd and run it in your 360, or download it on xbox live

Xbox 360 is a waste IMO. You could have put that money towards a **** fine woofer / amp / HU / comp set.

well if the only thing that matters in your life is your system then you'd be right. but i have a good system that works well, dont need to add anything else to it, so hows it a waste?

dl the patch and run it. only about 200 or so xbox games will work on the 360 as is anyways. my friend tried to play gta: san andreas, and it'd freeze up after 30 minutes on the 360.

but yeah, should've bought the premium package.

i don't think the 360's will drop in price anyways. the ps3's are gonna be $100-$200 more (depending on if you get the 30GB or 60GB version) than the premium 360 console. not to mention sony is having issues with the blu-ray players and they'll be very scarce. it seems to me, sony is rushing the ps3 and they're gonna screw themselves this round.

not to sure but you will be able to get an hd-dvd add on for around 150.

and i think they have plans for hdmi cable and 1080p output also

im gonna guess their will be a slight price drop.

microsoft has repeatedly stated there will not be an hd-dvd add on. not sure where people keep getting this info. hdmi and 1080p would be nice

no, not with a 600 price tag on the ps3. people that went to e3 said it was way overrated anyway. i think all the hype has already played out the ps3. i am no hardcore gamer, just bought my 360 to play with so i am plenty happy with it anyway.
