Well the initial failure rate of the 360 was enormous, and to say that's not a negative point is kind of ridiculous. I believe IGN's independent survey concluded that something like 50% of 360 owners have had at least 1 console fail...while only 10% of PS3 owners have

Well if you look at in from the top layer and dont dig deep for a logical answer , then yea i guess your right.. Question.... Do you think kids/ adults take advantage of microsoft Simply because they had a major issue in the past .. Answer hell yes they do.. When the failure rates for 360 were 50%+ it was in the beginning with hardware issues / over heating, freezing HD's etc.. Now, Last I heard it was 20%, with the PS3 being 11%.. Also take into consideration 360 has sold a quite a few million more consoles..

As for the roller coaster scale of "supposed" RRoD failures , i found this humorous.. Big box stores like BB who offer extended warranties most of the time do not test .. they just ship back.. And 30% of all 360s @ repair ended up working just fine. Whats that mean?? well i own them both too dude, the ps3 is IMO better, and the 360 is in your opinion better... there is basically no difference in the two except for controller preference and exclusive preference
and try to hide from it all you want just because your xbox didnt get the RROD alot of peoples have..

and i wont even touch on exclusives because that all preference, but i like the ps3s better, and someone else may like the 360s better...

and the longest any update has ever taken on my ps3 is 3-4 minutes

and online play is not that bad :rollseyes:

You have to leave a game to private chat with someone or organize some music to listen to....on 360 you can do all this without leaving the game and chat/invite up to 8 people to a game with one button push! + you can use any bluetooth headset to chat on ps3...ends up sounding like a bunch of people yelling in buckets! I only bought my ps3 for God of War 3(still waiting:crap i might also pick up Heavy Rain though...till then i'll keep using it to stream movies to my bedroom...that's it

Yeah after looking at most of my PS3 games, they are mainly 720p, did have a few 1080p's though.
But not all my 360 games were 1080p either...

Yea its basically reversed

80% of 360 games are 1080p, 20% 720p or 1080i

80% of ps3 games are 720P, 1080i , 20% 1080p - but they are getting more out there.. .I just find it weird that this Monster of a gaming /entertainment system which plays blu ray has just recently started making good 1080p games... That's kind of a cop-out (sp?) to say that the xbox's failure rate is inflated because of people wanting to upgrade consoles...Plus I'm not even talking about the people that returned it to the store. Obviously Microsoft realized the failure was unacceptable, otherwise they wouldn't have extended the warranty. The survey I'm referring to simply asked if the user had had a 360 fail, I'm fairly sure if someone took a 360 back because they wanted to upgrade would not say that console failed...

Back when 360 released the new dashboard they also released a "Optional Media Update" thus allowing MP4 playback...i download blu-rays(720p or 1080p) convert them to mp4 using a program called GOTsent...pop em in and enjoy full HD movies for free...which i can play on my 360 or PS3

That's interesting to know...what do you burn the MP4's onto? Regular dvd's? How do they fit???
