Trying to get rid of a Memphis 16-MCD4KW I just picked up. I picked it up but then realized that it would be to much upgrading for me. Whoever is looking at this knows what this is. It is a Mojo Beast of an amp.
* 1000x1 @ 4 ohms
* 2000x1 @ 2 ohms
* 4000x1 @ 1 ohm
* CHARGING SYSTEM UPGRADES ARE MANDATORY WHEN USING THIS AMPLIFIER!
* 4000 Watts RMS @ 1 ohm
* Bridgeable In Pairs
* requires external bridging module (16-BRIDGE)
* Built-in Fully Variable Low-Pass Crossover
* Variable from 50-250Hz
* Built-in Fully Variable Sub-Sonic Filter
* Variable from 20-50Hz
* Optional Wired Remote Gain (16-MCRG)
Pulled this from Myspace Blog about them:
16-MCD4KW~(Mandatory Alternator Upgrade) We suggest installing a high output alternator capable of generating 250-300 amps or more at certain rpm's. It is very common for people to use multiple alternators with this amp. This amplifier accepts 0 gauge power AND ground wire terminal connections. We also strongly suggest using at least four dedicated system batteries with this amplifier (ideally located near your amplifier) rated at 1000 CCA or more. We also suggest using 4 Farads of capacitance. Please consider our 17-1FCAP or 17-1FCAPM 1 Farad capacitors to put the icing on the cake for this MEGA beast. Don't forget to upgrade your battery terminal wires to the same gauge wire used at the amp, especially your ground wire- and also upgrade your charging lead from the alternator to the same gauge wire. This amplifier will demand over 400 amps of current at full output with 14.4 Volts applied. Select a solid chassis ground and mount the amp in a well ventilated area for maximum windshield breakage!!!
Looking for trades plus boot mostly.
Need a good amp for my XXX 12" or maybe another XXX 12" and an amp or something just let me know.
We'll say prob like 800 plus shipping for it.
