WTT: 1k rms amp for 500rms amp

I just dont find it necessary having 1400rms going to my idmax 12". It calls for electrical upgrades that, to me, are unecessary. I am willing to trade my Power Acoustik PA1800db for a smaller amp. I think something around 500rms x1 @ 1ohm would be great. My sub is D2 so it needs to be @ 1ohm or 4ohm output.

No.

I have been going around in circles with idea's lately. First i took out my sub and amp because my box was ugly, i didnt want to get a new alt., i had a mess of wires in the back, and i just figured a good front stage would be the way to go. Then i wanted to do 6.5 or 8" in the rear deck IB as subs and have just kind of wandered away from that a little bit. I just now finally realize i can probably wire to 4ohm and not have that bad of an electrical strain, build a new box, and take my time with the extra couple of sub amp wires...... Just let me know what you have if you are interested. There is no hurry and i am just trying to see what offers i get.

its just i dont want to have 3 amps, or 2 amp really. I am looking for one MAYBE two smaller amps to conserve space.
