WTT: 15" Adire Audio TUMULT!

I figured I would see what kind of interest this woofer would generate. I'm really on the fence about getting rid of it, but I don't think I'm going to use this in my new vehicle.

I'm looking for various subs ('05 XXX, TC Sounds, AVA's, DD 35 or 95, Brahma, or custom built)...if its a single sub it would need to be D2, a pair...D4

Since I'm not sure exactly what I'm going to run, it would be hard for me to get amps now. However, I am open to higher-end amps. (Zapco, Arc Audio, Audison, old school Memphis, DD, Rainbow iPaul, and various Old School amps)

Well i have a 15 tc2000 but its a dual 3 so I have it wired down to 1.5 ohms don't know if you'd be interested or not

Nice subs. I ran a pair of them in my HT before I bought the (4) AVA's.

Brian...how would you compare them the AVAs...I'm may end up running this in my car

Sounded the same to me. The ava's were a little louder than the tumult at lower power levels, but would not keep up once the power got over 1000 watts.

I also ran a head to head comparision of the AVA to the XXX in my car. AVA was slightly louder on the meter with 1000 watts, but when I stepped up to more power, the AVA could not handle it like the XXX could.

thx...I just sent you a PM asking the same...so don't worry about answering again. You say the AVAs were louder, are you talking about on 1000w? I know the Tumult handle around 1600, right?

Ava's can't keep up after around 1200 wts rms. They are NICE subs though but if you have the power, the Tumult will be louder and just as low (if not lower). Basically the same thing Brian is saying^^^.

As you know, I've had NUMEROUS Adire brahma's, AA Avalanches and played around with a few XXX setups and 1 Tumult setup. My favorite is by far the brahma's with the Tumult/ava in CLOSE 2nd. XXX wasn't really my kind of sub. Sounds a little funny to me compared to the others!
