doesnt your alarm have the shock sensors though? i know that if my car was shaking a bit the alarm would probably go off and i have sensitivity all the way down.
either way it still sucks

I started using the Autopage SIS-12 in lieu of the shock sensor. No more false alarms and anything that causes a drop in cabin pressure will set that baby off. To my surprise, which I forgot to disarm prior to jacking my car up!

But back to the OP's problem, I've had two cars broken into over the years and it SUCKS.

i have full comprehsive insurance, but im not going to do insurance on this.yeah i have an alarm, the guy went through the sunroof and back out the sunroof. this ***** prob walked all over my windshield

i have a viper alarm, my friend drove us back to his place in my jeep because i was drunk as **** and when i said lock it he didnt press it twice, so it locks, but doesnt arm the alarm.

sorry to hear the bad news, I had one of my old cars broken into before and just like you I got another radio the same day. As you said can't go without tunes, but in my current ride was smart enough to get me a 2way (autopage 900) I hope they catch his punk a$s I hate thieves!
