WTF is with Damping Factor?!

years ago DF was antiquate because inductance and back EMF was low, now its a different ball game..

slew rate is the amps ability to respond to changes in the signals phase.. very important in high frequency applications..

in subbass DF is important to look at considering many amps DF is lower than 50@1ohm...

for midrange/tweeter applications DF is basically pointless, but slew rate is important..

@1ohm 100 is plenty for any driver on the market @v 2ohm 200 4 ohm 400... chances are you won't hear a huge difference in the average install, but a excellent install its notable.. same for the slew rate.. anything over 12v/ms should be ideal for 99% of the applications out there..
