Wtf is this? Cone completly surronded?

Memphis PR 15". The cone just completely I guess came unglued? I believe he still has a warantee...but what would cause this to happen? And any cheap ways to fix it? Guarilla glue? When you press down on the cone now you can hear the VC sorta scratchin, but it may be b/c its not connected to the surround.

super glue would work.

A few things could of caused that...Factory defect where they didn't use enough glue to hold the surround down, you box could of had a "pressure spot" which caused excess pressure to build in the box causeing undo stress on that portion of the cone...or simple over excursion could of caused it.

Either way something like that should be covered under waranty. As far as the VC scratching...If you don't push down "dead center" on the cone, the coil will scratch on the inside of the gap.

well what would you do what is the best glue to use and is there a certain way i should do it

u stuff the gap with some paper so the VC will be dead center and cant move, then u just glue it back.

If you still have a warranty don't fuck with it and take it back for warranty repair.

If you attempt to fix it yourself and you still have a warranty, you would open the window for them to deny warranty repair.

btw if there is any confusion these are my subs jusy my friend 86yota started the thread but yea im not gonna do anything until i found out if i have it or not but i dont think i do i bought them at electronic express and at the time they were on clerance and i dont think i paid for a warantee but would i have some kinda warantee with memphis because i bought a set of memphis pr tweeters from sound street in nashville, tn and they said i had a 3 yr warantee

this happened on the sub i use in my sig, i used some ca glue that i got with a recone from before and havent had a problem since
