Take a DMM to it and see what it is reading?

i was just thinking that.. use a dmm to make sure it is the sub.. if not.. check the wires.. more than once i have ran into a wire breaking within the insulation.. check the resistance of the wire as well (from sub to amp) to make sure it isnt the wire.. cuz it would **** buying a new sub and have the same problem because the wire going from the sub to amp was shot

Does it start working if you push on it? Could be one of the tensils came loose.
