you can get an Atomic or RD 3kw amp for around that price...

This is why the used price for Sundown is higher:

"# Our warranty covers all RD products from manufacture defect for a period of Two years if installed by an authorized dealer. If not the product carries a 90 day warranty

# The warranty applies to the original end user only. It is not transferable in any way."

Can't find Atomic's warranty on amps - presumably it is not transferable either.

So... right away a DIY installer has only a 90-day warranty and when you buy used you have no chance of having warranty. Price out a repair and you'll find that if you have a problem with your amp one time in 2 years you are paying about the same price, probably less after shipping back and forth for repair is figured in.

Just an FYI //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif I don't make anything off of used amps that forum guys sell to each other, but I realize the market is pretty huge and some people may wonder why a used Sundown commands such a high price - the warranty transfer is a huge reason for that.

Not sure about Atomic but RD calls their model 3250 watts and rates at a higher voltage, which is still accurate.
