I've got a pair of Directed Studio 12 4-ohm DVCs... **** nice subs, ~750RMS each. I've used 'em a couple years, and they sound nice and get good and loud if that's your thing. This was before they went to shit, in the 1100d and Direct Comp sub days.

A single sub setup in the right enclosure will beat just as hard as a dual sub setup. I have a Phoenix Gold Ti12D Elite for sale. It easily handles 1200w.
