WTB: really cheap amp & sub

by cheap i mean inexpensive. this will be simply to add a little thump in my beater. not looking for anything over $100. i need amp, sub(s), and box. preferably local (Philly area), cause shipping would make it almost worthless.

gonna cost a bit more than $100 after install accessories, but its better than most pieces of crap.

I got a Kicker Comp 03C124 Im selling for $40 shipped mint condition and still have the original box for it. I can throw in a old beatup rockwood 400watt amp for $20 more to cover the shipping of it. still leave ya with money for a box.

yeah both for $60 shipped the amp is an old amp and is really beatup looking thats why im giving it away for shipping costs. Might want to paint it up if it is gonna be visible. But the speaker is mint only used it for a month or so before my olds blew the engine.

Umm...I hate to nitpick but that link is to a monoblock...and not a 1 Ohm-stable one either. It would still technically work...but would only give the subs 100w each coz you'd have to wire them to show the amp 4 Ohms.

I was under the impression that you were suggesting buying 2 subs. I have no issues with Profile amps - I've run several of them and for the money, they're really tough to beat along with US acoustics. If I misread your post, my bad. *shrug*

Word: 70% or more of the registered population of this forum runs their gains higher than the "properly" set level. Shouldn't hurt a thing.

yeah you just work your way up. Dont start off full blast just keep raising till you hear hear clipping then back off a bit.
