see now i think that plus a 2500d would be a way better setup then the RD $1300 package. Im not saying it to make a sale or anything I honestly dont care if this amp sells or not but I just think it would make you a lot nice system and save money

the orion has NO chance in hell aginst a pair of 1750s, but yea the orion is decent.. the pair od rd audio sound better put out more power and are more efficient... each to his own.. i measured over right @ 1800 watts with a 1.2 ohm load @ 13.8 with a single 1750... not to mention they will run @ .75(actual) and put out about 10% more plus getting voltage up adds abut another 5-10%... so your looking @ a soild 2.2K @ .75 with 14.5 volts... thats over 4k out a pair...

and just to let you know.. i have owned SXs and Alphas.. i would grab the alpha over the SX anyday...

bumping, the V1s had some downfalls, but the V2s are a world of difference... the alpha v1 IMO where decent.. i honestly didn't care for them, but the v2s are a totally different ball game..

the SXs i had didn't like over 1500 RMS and sounded very dry on the lowend.. output was good and efficiency was decent... compared to say a DD 3500 or alpha, they jsut don't have the output. in daily systems the output is right at the MT/BTLs output with half the power(within 1DB) and the still manage to sound great...

i have owned everything from 9500s to XXXs to SEs... i have been installing car audio before i could get a lisence.. i wouldn't lie to sell something.. i don't buy cheap shit or junk, so everything you see me sale is going to be quatitly stuff...

steve(RD owner) has 3 alpha on 2 1750s doing 149-149 on music @ like 34hz and they sound great doing that number... not to mention hes tickling them, one alpha can handle a 1750 @ 1/2ohm...

well i am looking at the sx becaus i must use my current box ( its a built in) which is only going to yeild about 3.7 cubes after woofer dislacement and the optimun for an sx is 2cubes each so i will be only a little short.

bpres, i can get a set of BNIB SX's for 500 so 525 = ship is too much.

the Sxs really shine in 2.+ for daily while the alpha and even something similar to the SS RL-p 12s would be more ideal... infact i would incourage you to look into the SS rl-p 12s... a single 1750 would do them justice..

As far as brand and type of sub go, this is ALL personal choice.

I've seen so many different installations and people claiming their personal favorite sub will "own" other brands. I've had people tell me my sx 12's were the loudest 12's they ever heard.

go for the RE sx's if you want a combination of sound quality AND loudness. there are other subs out there that will be strictly sound quality, but not nearly as loud, and other subs that will get louder but not sound nearly as good.

i have 2 re sx 12's, D2, used. CHEAP.

if you ask in any forum, whether it be ca.com or roe, or any other one for that matter, EVERYONE will direct you in different ways. it all comes down to the sound you like, and there is only ONE way to determine this: try them out for yourself or hear them in person.

i had guys telling me their kicker l7's i believe would "eat my wannabe subs anyday"..... in front of a dozen people i pissed on him with my 2 SX's on 1500-1600 watts. but like i said, subs are a love/hate type thing. some love certain brands, some hate certain brands.

dont let anyone make your decision. i heard RE in person before i bought them, and from what i'm hearing....... i have NOT gone wrong. currently running an 18" XXX (07 version) and man, on the low end, i scare people. on 1.5kw. meanwhile the thing could handle 3kw daily.

bottom line, do a search on ca.com, ROE, and various other forums with people's experiences with RE, RD, FI, etc. there tend to be "fads" where everyone is on a companies nuts at one time, then they die off. RE has been one company that has consistently gone strong.... given they are super overpriced, retail on an SX 12 is 299.99

hmm let me see if i have any pics online. they are actually sitting in my room in their box right now, but i have 0 energy to take them out and get pics at the moment..

but i was running a us amps ax-1500 de (rated at anywhere from 1500-1600 watts) daily.

2,000 watts is what i would give these daily when RE themselves even said you could probably push 2.5kw and be okay, but i wouldn't overdo it.
