I'm looking for a plate amp doing at least 500watt at either 4ohm or 1 ohm (does that exist in home stereo???) or more power. I'm looking to power my FiQ18 dual 2 ohm

well 250 with a 5yr warranty is pretty good, thats the one i would get if i ever got one

I have a broken Velodyne SPL-R Series plate amp, 1000 rms, 2000 peak. that you could buy, I called velodyne and they said it would be $240 or something to get fixed, but that's not that bad of a deal since those subs go for at least $700+

well i want a working one. Shipping here then shipping back to compagny in usa then here again will be ****ing expensive.

i may look into the partexpress dayton 240watt one. Does that seems enough to make some noise with my Q?

also right now i have a getho setup with computer powersupply and ma audio cheapo amp. The sub make a weird sound like cone scratching. I first tough the vc was blown without reasons. I then tried the sub in my car and it's working fine free air. No noise at all.

is it possible that the amp make the sub sound real bad? when i'm pushing the cone everything sound ok (no scracthing, coil reading ok)

just looked at your sig, your box is 7cubes sealed? were u trying to do ported and decided to go sealed? cuz thats too big for a sealed box. it should only be like 5cubes sealed

fi recommand a lot bigger in ht use. I think they say up to 8ft/cu sealed and 12ft/cu ported. Anyway it's making the noise in free air too with that getho amp setup. I was working fine prior... don't know what happened

amp is making the coil rock in the sub

yeah a little, but in theory the 500w would be 3db louder
