Yep, friend blew a mid on the RSD's I gave him.. Weird the mid went and not the tweeter, haha.

He tells me it blew. Tomorrow I'm checking it out and making sure, but he says it's still making noise just sounds kinda raspy and stuff. I'll look tomorrow and DMM that bad boy but in the mean time, lmk how much this is gonna cost. Will buy tomorrow at the latest.

I have refs on here, and 100% ebay feedback as a buyer.

hmm.. 175 is just a wee high i think..

i have my 2 sets running on IIRC a zx650.4 thats benched pretty high.. and each sides seeing 175 .. so 175 per set.. not per speaker.. and they sound awesome ..

Yeah I gave 175 per side as well. Didn't end too great. They are a 60w RMS set though, lmao.

But yeah I contacted PG when I needed tweeters, they have em for about $20 a pop. Not sure on how much the mids are since I'm pretty sure they are closed. Maybe not though as they are located somewhere weird..

*checks*

hmm

i dont think that should have blown them to be honest..

only thing i did , i was getting a little too much bass out of the mids .. so i had to adjust my in deck filters .. the things were actually slapping my door panels..

but my install was completely stealth exccept for tweeters .. and those are not exactly "visible" .. and if i felt like it i could blend it in.. but there taking the 650 (might be 750) ? like a champ .. and sound awesome doing it

Not sure how unless your gains are set way down, everybody on here that has given them more then 150-175 or so (like me and others) have blown at least a tweet //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif.

150 seems to be the thresh hold RMS for these. If you really are giving them that whole 650.4, that's 325w a side if you have it bridged. 120 if it's not bridged. Now the 120 would make sense as to why it's working //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif.

I have 2 I might be willing to sell....pm me an offer
I don't know as I'm not paying for them, I won't be able to get in touch with my friend until tomorrow.

I'll PM you then or you can post up a ballpark price that I can give him.

Thanks for the first reply //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif.

if the tweets are 20.. the set is 85ish new i think.. so mids shouldnt be much more than 60.. cuz xovers are in there aswell
Set can be had for $60 new from WoofersETC now, so using that logic the mids should be no more then like 35 //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif!

its running back set of coaxials,
and front set of components

i think i frogot to mention that ..

also didnt set with dmm, just till it sounded good
oh okay then if it's only 1 channel each then it's seeing ~120w or so //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/tongue.gif.6130eb82179565f6db8d26d6001dcd24.gif.

That makes sense, haha. I was thinking, 325w and they aren't blowing..? Either your amp is not working or something is wrong, lol.

ya something like that,

but i still get around 160 a piece, but then thats just the mids and doesnt count tweets,

but its getting 300 + per side, also the birthsheet ran high on the kicker, nearly 700 IIRC, there getting the power they need.. thats the easy way to put it //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

How do you figure your getting 160 to the front two mids?

If @ 4ohms it's rated at 120w per channel, right now you have 1 channel per door pretty much.

So front driver door is getting 120w, that's a mid and a tweeter. same for passenger door. And your rear fill is splitting up the other watts.

The only time you'll see full power outta the kicker amps are @ 2ohms :p.

I have a 350.4 myself and I love it. Gives my XXX mids 90w and my tweeters 60W. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif, perfect combo. Though I have my tweeters at much lower then max because, well, tweeters are fawking loud. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/tongue.gif.6130eb82179565f6db8d26d6001dcd24.gif
