simple test with the TermLab [smile]
system was 1 XXX 15" sub in a big *** ported box, wired to show a single amp a 1 ohm load. 2 extra bosch silver tops in the boot, and engine running.
best score with the Solid = 140.0dB
best score with the PowerBass = 141.2dB (not 100% sure on the .2)
was approx 15-20 more volts (p-p) coming out of the PB too
however, the solids may come into their own at lower impedance, or higher voltage, other tests will need to be done in these cases.
but if you want a streetbass amp, go for the PB, it also has a fan inside and a better heatsink IMO [Wink]

[EDIT] just to add, the scores **** ***, this isnt the amps fault, the car we tested in is horrible for SPL, but the test was just to compare the 2 amps, ignore the actual score, just look at the difference! cheers!
