i just lost my 2nd pg xenon 200.4 to a main coil burnout, i love the amps, but im done with them...i would like a nice clean power amp, 200-250x4 rig, something reliable, and durable...i would prefer as mint as possible, even new would be fine...doesnt have to be a zapco or anything, but something decent...let me know what u have...

Not dumping, but how did you manage to burn not one, but TWO X200.4, a generally reliable amp? I'd hope you have it tuned correctly, so was it bad mounting? Vibrations?

And good luck for 200 TRUE RMS per 4 channel for the same price and quality as said X200.4. I've been trying to shop around for the same requirements and haven't found anything with such reliable results as the X200.4 (X200.4 continually benches 15-20% better in every category than it's released specs)

Guess this is a bump too haha //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

the first one was an open box, basically BNIB from a local dealer, got a nice discount on it, it worked swimmingly for several month, and i loved it, best 4 channel i've owned without a doubt (minus an exception or 2)...it just went out one day, middle of session...i sold it for parts to a buddy who repairs amps, as i had another one lined up...

in the mean time i upgraded my secondary battery to a beefier setup, and re-calibrated the system to ensure that the digital terminals were accurate at the main battery as well as the secondary...

i even ended up buying a new, bigger better distro block, so essentially, everything minus wiring has been changed even before i installed the 2nd 200.4...

i got the new 200.4 from sonicelectronix (sp), it worked for a month, and the SAME exact thing happen, the coil burnt up, but this time 2 transistors also went...

i connected my XT1600.4 to it and it has been working flawlessly for 2 months now...im just not 100% satisfied with the XT and wanted something a little bit better, a little higher fidelity if you will...

the amp is/was "mounted" in a floating box, it's cushioned and i even have 2 of those muffin fans routed into the bottom of the box to keep the amp cool (same as i do with my mono block)..and im fairly certain in the tuning...as for vibrations, it could be, im beating the hell out of my trunk with the 2 sx's i had and the mx i have now...

i figure if someone had something a few years old that was solid, i should be able to land it for a nice price, but like i also said, if it was a quality product, i would consider going the distance on price...

Hmm, odd. Sounds like you did everything right. Only Xenons I heard of manufacturer defects were the 100.4 and 1200.1, with the same problem you are describing of the 200.4, they burned those up.

Makes me semi-nervous, as I'm about to fire on an X200.4. What power were you running to the Pro's and Z6's? And di it send a great signal? I know this is a WTB thread, but since you have the experience with the unit I'm about to fire on, I'm being inquisitive //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

And semi-free bump, minus the questions //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
