looking for a set of kick panels to mount a speaker 5.25/6.5 and a 2" tweeter for a 2001 f-150, so if you have a set let me know i am looking to buy

also if someone is up to the task i will pay someone to make a custom fiberglass kick panels for my truck to mount a comp set in them

thanks

well i can get a set of q logics that have the wood finish to match my truck since i have wood grain and leather seats because its a king ranch for 210 shipped and i know they arent the best qualitly, the back of the kicks arent sealed up

only problem is the parking brake might be in the way but i can fix that i am sure.

if possible would like to get a 6.5 speaker to fit and looking to spend 200 or under for kicks if possible

That might be better for your budget, the two people I know going to want a lil bit more than that. For what your looking to do, I would go with the q logic, unless you feel like you could make them yourself.

I know I dont have those skills lol.

well i have never worked with glass before so yea rather not go there but i am sure if those arent sealed up in the back i can seal them up myself or isnt there sometype of mount you can sit in the hole and it keeps the air from escaping like a box so it makes the mid sealed.idk if u know what i am talking bout but i am sure i could make it work

is it worth the money to mount comps in the kicks or no, and also with a set mounted down there what would i mount in the doors becasue i have a set in my doors now, so leave the mid and mount the tweet in the a pillar or wat

also how much do those guys charge for kicks

I would read this to, it might help.

Its really up to you. You can mount some comps in the kicks and run your doors if you like and it will give you more highs if you just want more volume, but SQ is going to be so so. It wont sound bad or anything, but most people on here would run either door speakers or kicks.

Both guys charge around $300 for a custom set.

Just use the Q Logics. Use liquid nails on the backside to stiffen it up.(Spread like peanut butter)

Then put sound deadener over that. Some drivers sound better vented. So don't worry about if its sealed until you hear it out.

yea welll i can always use these baffles to seal it up right

http://www.crutchfield.com/App/Product/Item/Main.aspx?g=410&i=107MMC6500&tp=106&tab=other_items&viewAll=True#Baffles

but i was thinking of getting a set of comps in the kicks and leave my momo mid in the front door and mount the tweet from the set i have now in the A pillar, or put the 6.5's in the rear for rear fill and put 8" midbass drivers upfront in the doors and a comp set in the kicks and my momo tweet from the set i have now in the a pillar

Yes those would work. If they're meant for vocals you wont have to worry about midbass output either.....

yea thats my main concern and only reason for getting kicks is for more vocals so the bass doent drown out the vocals so whats a good set of comps for vocals only dont care about midbass for kicks

i would like to get a set of polk momos to match my current comps but right now on 135rms per side the polks dont get loud enough for me so looking for a loud set of comps that can take up to 175rms or less
