I have ben scouring the net for deals on a new digital webcam and have found some pretty good deals on
eBay, and a few other online stores, but before I take the plunge
I wanted to ask anyone here if they have any of the following models of digital camcorder(s) and are willing to sell them new or used(but that doesnt mean abused).
I prefer these models:
Sony DCR-HC85 (nice but a little bulky)
Sony DCR-TRV33 (last years model)
Sony DCR-TRV22 (last years model)
JVC GR-DX77U (really like this one)
JVC GR-DX307U (bigger body but nice feature set)
JVC GR-DZ7U (also very nice)
JVC GR-DVP9 (probably cant get for less than $600 new, willing to try)
Canon Optura 300 (I like the Canons)
Canon Optura 400
Canon Optura 500 (vid. quality equal to the Optura 400,a few more feat.)
Panasonic D-Snap (like the size, features could be better)
Panasonic PV-GS200 (the ultimate, i would go as high as $700 for this)
If you have something else, it should meet most of this criteria:
Not an Aiptek/Mustek/Japanocrapomatek!!!!
At least a 1 megapixel video resolution (1.5 or higher preferred)
At least a 1.6" CCD sensor or a 3CCD camera
Digital zoom at least 10x (digital zoom doesnt matter)
Still picture resoluton at least 1280x1024 (.jpg format)
SD/MMC or MemoryStick memory card storage
Compact size (as small as I can get it!)
Decent low-light and indoor performance (very important)
Low motor noise
Image stabilization
Image light/LED or hot shoe for auxilliary light
Stereo Mic with wind noise reduction or option for external mic
16bit stereo audio recording
Headphone jack (would be nice, not necessary)
I'd prefer something along the lines of the JVC models listed because they have such a small formfactor, I need something very portable, lightweight, and compact. I have a maximium budget of $500.00 including shipping costs.
