the title says it all. give me a price on a HU you are selling. nothing too expensive i just need one with 3 pre amp outputs that are at 5V. mayb 4....
really and truly your preout voltage just dictates how high you have to set your gains. but generally speaking the higher the preamp voltage the better the HU is so i mean ur killing two birds with one stone. little easier on your amps if the gains are lower and since ur upgrading everything else u should upgrade the HU.well cause kicking up the whole system (300 HO alt, 2 batts, 2 amps, and the jbls) i want something with a number im safe at. i have a Dual now and its something like .25V. and everyone is moving down to 4 now..
nice pic, I took it //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif and it is a good HU, I wish I still had it.i have an alpine 9811 that is in great shape if you are interested, its a 4 volt deck out the box but i think it can be manually set to 5, its been a minute since i messed with it but im sure it goes to 5 volts...it looks just like this one if you are interested i will snap some huge pics that way you can see what mine looks like...100 shipped fedex insured just let me know...thanks![]()
if you go into the radio settings and turn off the internal amp...it bumps the preout voltage quite a bit...with flat settings out the box with the internal amp on it starts at 4 volts...turning it off and the numbers go up to 4.7vrms to a 5.5-6 v peak if you mess with the treb, bass and sub settings...turning off the internal amp and what not is all in the user manual and the voltage numbers are from alpine...im confused as to how a HU with 4 volt preouts can magically turn itself into 5 volt preouts. i dont get it.
