want somethin that will run my 4 15" home subs.(100 watts each) only need the receiver i have a cd unit to hook up to it. i've been looking around maybe you all have something that will work for cheap. i have a panasonic unit i can use as part trade in, i would prefer to do a partial trade. make me some offers. thanks

would doing that work better than gettin a surround sound unit that is like 100X5? is partsexpress the least expensive place to get these plate amplifiers?? help me out i really do not know much at all about home stereo. thanks

QSC RMX 850 from zzounds.com

299 shipped ish... More balls than you'll ever get out of any receiver, besides you are not going to be able to run all 5 channels to just subwoofers - they have no low pass capabilities.

the speakers are fisher model st-830 i believe. 15 inch woofers mids and tweets in one. i have 2 right now and am going to pick up 2 more saturday morning/(got a killer deal off ebay) subs are rated at 100 watts at 8 ohms. keep up with the ideas and thanks for all the replies

Oh wait! Your dont have seperate subwoofers (just the sub)? I see, you have the full range, floorstanding speakers. You dont need that sub amp. All you need is a reciever

EDIT: Any one of these recievers under $200 will do just fine http://www.circuitcity.com/frame1.jsp?BV_SessionID=@@@@0498127764.1046311554@@@@&BV_EngineID=ccegadchjgdehhkcfngcfkmdffhdffk.0&upper=head.jsp&lower=frame2.jsp&department=Home+Audio&category=Receivers&right=productsearch.jsp&left=leftchildcat.jsp

oh really, glad to hear that really wasnt wantin to spend 300 on an amp right now. lol anyways you got a pretty nice setup there in ur sig. didnt i hear somethin about sherwood though that they rate stuff at 6 ohmsso they can boost output ratings, guess it really dont matter if you went with them plate amplifiers though. so u sure just a nice surround unit will make em sound pretty good, i was thinkin about maybe gettin a nice EQ also to maybe make the bass better. thanks for quick replies

edit: not just make the bass better, so i can tweek it to how i like

ya thats a good idea, even just one regular speaker would WORK, but it would be best if you can find just one center (with two woofers and a tweeter). The cheapest center you can find is a Pioneer for $80ish Circuit City and Best Buy, but you can probally find one online.

why would i need one of those? im not being smart here just wondering why when i have 4 of those with tweeters and mids in them. i guess the 5 channels might as well have one
