WTB: HO Alt for 2005 Ford Explorer 4.0L

I am looking to buy a 2005 Ford Explorer HO Alt for as cheap as possible. I am looking around to find a pricepoint before I find out if I want to go this route. I have found some on ebay, but since I am not too confident in some of the products on there thought I would go this way. Thanks.

you are going to spend at least 200$ or more on a used one, there is one in the classifieds just search a couple weeks back or so.

Yeah, but if I could get one for around $200 that will beat buying a battery for the time being. That way I can jump on a good deal on a battery in the future. I am getting my Crescendo 3k, it will be here wednesday so I gotta do something to keep from killing my headlights.

While if I HAVE to go that route I will, I would prefer cheaper lol, I know that is about normal for HO, but used is always better priced, therefore less bitching from the wife.

that is the BEST alternator that you will find at that price.

Okay, well let me ask this, for 3K rms, well maybe a little higher because @ 1 I think it was clamped at like 3.2k or somewhere around there, what size alternator would I need? I have stock battery right now, but hopefully in the near future I will be asking for battery suggestions as well lol

you will definetly need to upgrade your batt under the hood, and add a second batt in the back. with that I would say a good 220 amp alt.

see if there is a local alt shop ,who can rebuild yours to a higher amperage

Well seeing as when I bought this last amp this last week she gave me divorce papers and told me to sign them if I bought anything else for my "stupid hobby that is nothing but a money pit", yep whipped lol
