WTB: Hayabusa

id rather have a zx10r over the busa you would have speed and nice handling
But not the comfort, or the looks I want. I am stuck on the busa. And it has the speed too, plus a busa gets a little better on the gas mileage, believe it or not

my friend works for UPS and he was telling me about a month ago, this guy that helps him load up trucks Had just purchased himself a 1300 (busa) and all these people were telling him shit like "hey man be careful, thats a beast"....i talk to my friend a few days ago since ive been really interested in getting a bike...and i was asking him how that guy was doing with his Busa..and all he says was...That guy died last week..fell off of his bike....

i was like maaaaane..but it was probably his fault

Ya inexperience on a big bike is a bad bad thing, and things can happen on any bike or even in any vehicle. That sucks to here stories like that. But gotta be smart too!

Shit Kent I didn't know you were looking for a bike.I have CBR so if you get one come on in to FOrt and we can ride together.I'll keep an eye out for you too.
I already got a bike G, I am riding it tomorrow and bringing your wire to you, right? //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

A speedy rooster is WAY more comfy than any other bike in its class. Also, the 'busa is cheaper on insurance because its a sport bike, NOT a super sport like the ZXs. The comfort is there because of its massive weight. I am all for it. Heavy and stable. I've watched people with experience get the head shakes on gixxers, ZXs, and Rs. NEVER have I seen anyone I know get them on a busa. (hiya = speedy, busa = rooster......1 fast dick) Those are the ONLY "lean over" kinda bikes I'd ride... other than an XB12R. But I rather choppers, lol

I've had two hayabusas. An '02 silver and grey and an '03 anniversary edition.

I bought the 02 brand new in 03 as a left over. My first bike was a 84 suzuki gs650L or something like that.

I sold the 02 and bought the '03 used.

Very fun bikes, cost me $25 a month for full coverage insurance, good on gas, and you definitely get the looks.

Your best bet would be to try http://www.suzukihayabusa.org and search the used forum.

Since 08 brought some changes alot of people are dumping earlier years for cheap.

1999 and 2000 are unrestricted but between 1999 and 2008 there are very small changes.

Good luck, you should be able to find one in your price range. Hit me up if you ever have any questions about what to look for or mods/repairs.

I have been on there website and just see a ton of used ones that are turbo'ed, which would pretty crazy, but not what I want. Would love to see pics of yours. Thanks for the input. I may have found a 2000, but not sure.
