i seen a dd z1 for 800 new thinking of picking it up meself but someone said that the first gens had probs so make sure its a 2nd what you thikn?

The DD Z1a is stronger than the older Z2 and is way more expensive than the Z1.

The Z1a is not stronger than the Z2, it's WAY more efficient, doesn't need as much power to make it's power, and is cheaper....

The crappy part about the Z2 is that you have to run it at 16 volts or higher, otherwise theres no point in getting because thats what it's meant for.

Yep you are right ...and trying to run one daily on a 12v system it will end up fried....Z2's are not ment for daily use amps...strictly competion use only....

I heard some Z1a's before. I know a Nathan at DD, he has one in his car. The people at DD told me the Z2 was more expensive than the Z1a...
