WTB: Amps(s) > 400 RMS x 2 @ 4 ohms.

Title says it all. Looking for either a 4 channel amp that can do AT LEAST 400x2 RMS @ 4 ohm bridged, a 2 channel amp that can do 400x2 RMS @ 4 ohm, or a pair of matching mono amps that can each do 400x1 RMS @ 4 ohms. Not 400 max, 400 RMS. Preferably at least 500 RMS so I have some decent headroom. Or a single Planet Audio TT2250D, I already have one I'd make a pair with them.

Running a pair of subs, so amps that only output subwoofer frequencies are fine. I don't want anything crappy (like cheap sony xplod stuff) I'd prefer something like a good Eclipse or something.

I have a nice Planet Audio Big Bang...BB175.4 for $225 shipped...It will give you good clean power and the power you want...

What's the condition on it? And do you have a birthsheet? The manual says 345 x 2 RMS @ 4 ohms, ebay ads say 700x2.

I guess you'd be the person who might have one of these, would you happen to have an older Planet Audio TT2250D? That could also be used since I have a second one to make a pair.

I don't have the birth certificate but here is a 175.4 birth certificate for another amp....mines a 8.5-9/10 looks...Its really nice

since its a 4ch amp I'd have to say per ch bridged and not combined

702 total RMS , not max. those PA amps are nice too

but the amp has 2 40 amp fuses...how can it do 702 RMS x2? *scratches head*

I also thought the 175.4B was a class D amp but the birthsheet says A/B?

The lack of consistency between any two sources talking about this amp is why I've always thought about running one (actually for an active front stage) but never did.

it says output per ch into 2ohms as 350 so 350 x4 is 1400so 700 per bridged ch would be about right....It is a digital amp so its very efficient...

but 2x40 amp fuses=80 amps. 80 amps x 13 volts (testing voltage) = 1040 watts. Even at 14.4 volts it's only 1152 watts.

It may just be that the manual is massively underrated.

How "used" is it? Just wondering cause there's refurbs on fleabay for 135. :/

I have a Diamond D5 600.2 its a monster 300x2 at 4ohm but its very underrated probably around 350+'ish at 14.v. 90amp fusing, made in 2002 made in the US. Asking 250.00 shipped obo, make me an offer its one hell of a 4 channel.

1100x2@1ohm

2200x1@2ohms

DD usually tests their amps at 10.9v so power at 14.4v would be above 400 per ch at 4ohms, it's class A/B also.
