Well you gotta think about it this way - Good components powered by a not so good amp = not so good sound. Not so good comps powered by not so good amps = not so good sound.

I would suggest that you try to find a quality amp that does 75x2. I have my slc's running off 85 right now from my 4150 and they sound sick. I'll be going active with them rather soon.

im under the impression that theres no such thing as better sounding power? like that theres no such thing as an "SQ" amp.

I'm gonna buy a Profile amp that does 150x2 just for the extra headroom really. Prolly give them between 90-120W. I have the Kick versions so they'll proly need a little more.

Yup, just sold my old one. ANd make sure that guys amp is in good shape and stuff, i just saw the ad and thought that'd be the perfect amp for you in your price range.

just sent my 880 out today.

from what i hear the 880 may only be a hair ahead of the 980 in SQ.. the 880 has tons of options but the 980 has bluetooth and flashy looks. i wont really be able to compare on the sq when i get everything set up because ill be going from -

Thats true. You won't have the ability to run active with the 9800 and no left and right eq'ing. Does the 9800 have a 13 band or 16 band eq?
