Wtb, 8w7 and pg200.4

Not to jump your thread but the DD 1008 is a far superior woofer sound wise in low end bass and sound quality and power handling upto 900 clean RMS. Plus price wise they are cheaper than the JL8W7. I've tested several different 8's and have found nothing that compares even though some are close.

I saw a pic of what I think is a dd 1008 and it looks kind of cheesy--but thats from my first perspective--I'll stick with the 8w7, since that is what I've been hearing so much about.

no pic came up, if you were posting a pic, I could be wrong with what the sub looked like, but I seen that 1012 design and it didn't look like something I'd wanna put in my vette, someone said the jl 250.1 will be plenty for 1 8w7 is that true?

i did that for effect

sure a 250/1 will do a 8 w7 fine ....who cares about what subs look like is my point thats just silly bling bling style bandwagon hype behavior....go get a type r! [lol]

how often do you think of what your sub looks like when your driving and saying....wow that bass is really nice for a lil 8 and cheaper than a dub 7....im glad i got it

or....wow that dub 7 sure set me back.....but it looks nice! ......come on man be reasonable my suggestion would be to get a really pimping grill for it to make it look more to your taste

There is no comparison.....//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif But if you want bling buy an Audiobahn ccc 8 "chrome covered crap" DD's are hand built speakers ....each speaker and I mean each and every sub goes through 3 test before they leave the doors to ensure no problems....can you say 12 ga speaker input leads not some phone wire crap behind a fancy speaker terminal....plus not to mention each and every woofer is serial numbered individually...if you do have problems with a JL try contacting them for customer support you'll find out like my friends have in the past. Nothing against JL if you like assembly line bling...But I prefer quality and I have several World Records and numerous state records with USACi using DD's. By the way I run a single DD 1008 in my 06 Tacoma.

I'll do a search on the sub, in the meantime, would you send me some pics to chillcat34433@yahoo.com, I found dd's website and looked at the sub--that is a real sharp looking sub and does sound like its well put together, spose you don't have 2 of these do you? and what kind of amp did you use on it?

I have a pair BNIB tape has never even been off the boxes....I have a friend running a Earthquake D3 on 4 in an extended cab Dodge Dakota that hits louder and lower than a pair of L7 15's in a 4.5 cuft per chamber each ported box he had on an Orion 2400D. That was his old setup...now half the box half the speakers and just as loud and low. I ran a pair in my 96 Mustang on a Kenwood Excelon X 811D they were very impressive:) in my tacoma I have only about 200watts going to a single 8 it sounds good but won't fit behind the rear seat to deep //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif so I'm gonna throw 4 DD 6.5LT's behind the rear seat and give them a try soon...//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
