I am looking for big power like DDZ1a DDZ2, Atomic 5000.1 and 7000.1, Cactus 5k 7k, AB 500.1 AB 700.1

Not sure on all their effeciency above but just an idea of what I am looking for so let me know what you got as I have about a (550-650ish) ISH that is as it depends on what you have as I may have an amp to trade that still did not sell from 2 days ago as my other did.

I like the 700.1 and have a offer in on it and have for a bit today at a lil over $800 but no response yet.

I want to go ahead and buy as soon as I can so I can get my bumps set again.

actually he upped it to $800 so he got out of the cheap *** barrier...lol

good luck to you OP.. With your budget increased you should be able to have more luck in sourcing out an amplifier. Still its on the tail end of the cheap side, but more than likely you'll find something in the 5K range. I dont see it being more than that

Those dont do but like 2-2500k though huh? I am wanting to get the most for my money and have an offer in on a 7k+ at $875 in LIKE NEW condition I beleive.

Not really familiar with the Stetsom stuff and the ratings on it always throw me off as I would think a 2k6d would be 6k watts and so on but from peoples write ups it does not look that way.

That is the problem I want to compete in MECA this year and a lot of amps do not have there effeciency rated and that is really what I am after.

Seems the 500.1 is pretty effecient from what I am being told but let me know about yours please as i may scoop it up for that price.

Memphis 4k amps ARE these that effiecent or power hogs as I have not seen where these are talked about as being very effiecient.

Well "he is a low baller, he will never get a caliber amp like he wants for that price, oh lets call him a *** and not read the thread to realize he originally posted 650ish. Then raised it to 800ISH so people would quite complaining.

Half the people bit*hi& are not even people that have what I need for sale? Seems like this is very common anytime someone does not post a price that is up to "everyones standards or THERE OPINION of what the price needs to be"

Please dont tell me I CANT do something or it is impossible when it is not. I am looking and waiting on a response with Paypal information for a 7k amp at $875 which is 800ish by the way and over a 5k amp, and in the caliber I need so....

Little amp education. What ever the rating of almost 99% of big amps 3000w+ on the market expect on getting about 20% less then the rated power at the rated impedance due to impedance rise and majority of people don't give the electrical to support 4000w+.

As for the Stetsom they do 12.5v rating because again most people don't run enough electrical to support the big amps and when they turn it up voltage is only around 12.5v. And 2k6d is rated at 2600w @ 2ohms on 12.5v hit the "2"k"6"d for 2600w. And 4k2d is rated at 4200w @ 2ohms 12.5v "4"k"2"d for 4200w. Hope that makes sense.

And the 4k2d on a ok electrical system dropping voltage into high 11's will get you no less then 2900w at 4-6ohms. If you can get your electrical to hold above 12.5v then you'll see over 3500w easy. And again keep in mind that this doesn't just apply just for Stetsom but for most unregulated big amps out there.

You're looking for a 7k amp for around $800 used which if you can get would be a good deal. Just keep in mind that it's rating of 7000w @ 1ohms is on 14.4v. If your electrical is up to par with a 350+ amp alternator and at least 3 good group 31 batteries like kinetik 2400's you'll see about 5000w. But if your electrical is any less you'll see closer to 4000w.

Hope this helps with a little understanding of how big amps work.

A stetsom 4k2d is a 5k amplifier. And yes, if stetsom rated their amps like everyone else, it would do 5k at 2 ohms at 14.4 volts with a good electrical system. Dtbrown, correct me if I am wrong, you can run the 4k2d at a nominal load of 1.5 if box rise up to 3 you will see 3.5k+ at 11.5 volts. We have seen that in our setups on music. So the stetsom 4k2d is pretty strong and pretty bullet proof.
