are you serious? Your looking at Jl's? Man, just wait till them subs blow up, then your out all your money since they dont rebuild them. Also, if your lookin for bumpin subs for no more than 260 bucks, save your money and buy something better than crap stuff people are just trying to unload! I just sold a single sub for more than what you want to buy for 2 subs. I mean, if your gonna go cheap and real cheap, go to wal mart. they have them sony 1200 watt red cone subs that can prolly handle whatever cheap amp you plan to get and they cost like 50 bucks a piece. thats what it sounds liek you want. something you can just put together and have a thump to. If your serious about getting loud and turning people's heads, your going to have to PAY to PLAY! //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif Sorry to be the one to break the bad news to you, but I'm tired of reading all these posts about who's got what and for what price. Everyone right now in this economy is looking to get something big and bad for nothing, as cheap as you can possibly get it for. Well, man, good equipment is going to cost you more and cheap stuff is only going to blow up in your face till you spend money for good quality equipment. So again, your gonna get what you pay for. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crazy.gif.c13912c32de98515d3142759a824dae7.gifhmm im looking at those hypnotics, also looking at some jl's, but still gonna need some offers, btw i probably wont be buying any subs still this sunday, also looking at a 15, lol but throw some more offers at me people
If I were you, I'd save my money and get something better in time to come. There's always going to be a deal out there. I mean, seriously, your not going to get the kind of quality equipment for 600 bucks. Just ain't gonna happen. nothing thats going to last you anyway. I know most the amps I used to use were in the $1500+ range for 1 single amp. One single sub will cost me upwards of $800 bucks, but I know that sub isn't going to fail when massive power I put to it pumps it upi see what your saying and i would agree if i had more money, but im not going to spend a bunch of money on a new system when i can get something perfectly good used, now if i had more money then i would take up your words of wisdom, but for a poor kid that only has 610 to spend i do what i can
i have 2 12in audiobahn aw1206t, 200 shipped http://www.caraudio.com/forum/showthread.php?t=378857im looking to buy 2 12inch subs, looking for something that is good for daily driving, more around the lines of spl too. let me know what you guys have,
lol see thats where im at, lol im not gonna be an audio bigman till i can get alot more money, i just want something real plan and simple, and i got a guy that lives in my town that builds boxes and it makes the subs sound 2,3 times louder than they would in other boxes, so i have no truble with a box, ths kid is selling his brand new RE MT 15 but the reason why im not sure if im gonna get it is because 2 12's would be louder so im gonna do some looking around before i make a final desicion, lol and my cousin has had his sony xplods since he was 16 and he is 21 now and they still work fine, so that proves that their is deffinitly something on here that will hold upIf I were you, I'd save my money and get something better in time to come. There's always going to be a deal out there. I mean, seriously, your not going to get the kind of quality equipment for 600 bucks. Just ain't gonna happen. nothing thats going to last you anyway. No q-logic crap in these necks of the woods. I wouldn't even go to a local shop to have them overcharge me for labor, wood and then have them use a nail gun to put the boards together. I know a couple of people on here who have used a SINGLE 8in sub and been louder than people who use 2 12in subs. I've used 2 8in subs powered by a 1500 watt amp and broke the Db range from another friend who had 2 15in rockford subs and a 1000 watt RF amp. So its all about what you want and how you come about getting it done. Then again, if your not an audio buff, you might not care about any of this and go party all your money away on alcohol and whatever else kids do these days. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

you obviously have problems installing and tuning systems. i have a 10 year old pair of jl 10w0 subs that pound just as hard today as they did when new, and have been in 3 vehicles. with less than 200rms to each they broke 140 on many occasions.are you serious? Your looking at Jl's? Man, just wait till them subs blow up, then your out all your money since they dont rebuild them.

I sat here and wondered if thats even possible. The Jl W0's I know a lil bit about those dang subs. I had one of the first pairs of w1's back in 1996. The surround didnt even stay together b/c it was made outta something synthetic. It would crumple after a few years. I called Jl and they said they no longer fixed those. I got 3 w6's thinking that since they were larger subs they could rebuild those and nope, they were junk too. But will i ever follow the crowd again, hell no. Its all jus hipe and it also depends on where you live and who the dealers are around you and who pushes you to buy what they want. Some people love RE, some people love RF, and some love crystal audio. I use DD b/c I know them subs are dependable.you obviously have problems installing and tuning systems. i have a 10 year old pair of jl 10w0 subs that pound just as hard today as they did when new, and have been in 3 vehicles. with less than 200rms to each they broke 140 on many occasions.
OP, if you buy carefully and do your research you will be able to build a fine system for a reasonable price. i paid $99 per sub when they were brand new. please don't get caught in the "you need at least 1000-3000 watt to pound" school of thought. i laugh at the people who brag about how badass their system is simply because they have a huge amp powering some subs. power does not equal quality. installation, box building and tuning will give you quality sound.
