well i have a friend thats gonna buy my 12" jl 12w0-8ohm so i need an amp around 125-150 since its rated at 125rms so i guess i would need a 4ohm stable amp not sure how to wire that 8ohm sub

go to their online store and look at the 400SX. It'll do 300w RMS @ 4 ohms, so it should do at least 150 at 8 ohms. It's only $45 too. Profile makes great budget amps.
