My brothers amp finally went after 8 years and he's looking for a good efficient Mono amp that put out around 1200 rms at 1 ohm. He has a 13AV.2 and he wants to stay around 1200 watts. His budget is $150-$175 shipped but if a great amp is available he may be able to come up a bit. Let me know what you have.

P.S. looking along the lines of AQ1200d, Sundown SAE or SAZ 1200, Eclipse ZA1200, ED Nine.1 etc

well, it's not quite 1200rms, but i have a rf t5001bd. birth sheets put them 1k-1100rms @1ohm. 120 amp fusing, but it puts out real efficient. my tahoe sees very little voltage drop ....... 150? may take the blown 1200 as partial trade?

That might work as I have a 3002 in my wifes car that puts out 864 instead of 300. Could you send me more pics of the amp? if email is better send it to J_richardson804@hotmail.com

ok, i kind of like to keep things official, so i'll just post in the thread. i was finally able to go out in the freezing cold and take some pics. i just wired it in to see how it does in a while back, and just kept using it. *fair notice* it's been running on a crossfire bmf xt-15 @ dual 1.8ohm paralleled to a final .9ohm load. i knew it was pushing decently over 1k, but i took some actual readings. much to my supprise, it was pushing and holding upwards of 50vac. i didn't have the averaging set good enough to get a decent pic of the outputs, but i did just manage to capture the 42.1v. and held even higher. so, that roughly put it 984w x2 verified, or 1969w x1 @.9ohm... well, here is some pics.....oh, and what's the skinny on the blown 1200?

So your saying that at .9 ohms it puts out over 1900watts?!?? if so i think that would be wayy too much for his 13av2 as its says its rated at 1500 rms but 1200 is more realistic. The amp he has is a Tsunami db1100D that was purchased back when ED had the 12A+1200D Tsunami bundle just like the one that was for sale on here a few years back http://www.caraudio.com/forums/car-audio-classifieds-old-replies-only/403195-hifonics-tsunami-amplifiers-sale.html

what i'm saying is i got a musical reading verified by the pic that it put out 1969@12.5v. however, i loaded the test tones on the same phone i was taking pics with, so i could not take a true rms reading. going by the fusing, you should expect to see between 1300-1400wrms IF you can maintain 14.4v at that level. my tahoe alternator keeps the voltage 15+, so i can see peak output over 2k. if you can keep it at 12.5v, it should do an even 1200rms...... i can load the test tones on another player and take some rough rms readings, if you want........ about the cover- it never came with one when i got it, but i added the bass knob that i have had for years sitting nib collecting dust.
