Ladie's like my pole
what he said: "They never made one for consumers with a 3 ohm... but I'm not an avg consumer.
I run dual 3's like I said. I'm quite aware of the current line of eclipse subs as many other companies. I tried 1, 2, 3, and 4 ohm loads and experienced the best sound out of dual 3's.
If I can get another regular eclipse I have a few sets of new dual 3 ohm voice coils to drop in. Shouldn't take me more than a few hours. Has been at least 3 years since I last changed the voice coils on my eclipse.
My peak wattage is about 3.9k with a very small burst up to about 5k. That's where I normally crush most subs is with the peak. My ecplise handled the peak great... it was the rms that caught up after the years. Just by where the rubber surround broke I can tell exactly what range of watts I was pushing @ what hz also. Was peaking about 2200 @ 40 hz. Just enuf to shear the rubber in the cold morning."
rather interesting conversation Im having with this guy about his "custom" eclipse ti12 that he blew with his zapco DC1100.1
