this is a bad idea and only temporary you can risk doing more damage that good even though it might work for a lil while

tell me what code ur getting by doing the following steps and rmebering the flashes might be a easy fix

plug in 360 power and a/v

turn on 360 ring of death should come up

hold lil white button next to memory card slot thru this whole process

while holdin white button push dvd eject button once the unred part should blink a certain # of times fast count it and remeber it

repeat these steps and remeber the flash pattern 5 times the 5th shouldnt flash ends opn 3 red lights

should be like 0102 or 0001 or something like that 0=0 flash 1=1 2=2 3=3

yes it's plugged into a surge protector. i'll try those steps now..

yeah i tried the white button + eject thing and the red light just started blinking and wouldn't stop ever. but if i wait like twenty minutes and turn it on, it will start up fine, then while i'm sitting in the pregame lobby waiting for a game it does it again after a couple minutes
