i work in the financing world.... i got my car and paid it off after 2.5 years, even tho i got a 3.0 interest rate and wasnt paying hardly any interest, i dont like the idea of throwing my money away. The world functions off of moeny from insurance and financing. With out that we would still be living in mud houses and growing corn

I believe that financing is perfectly ok. As long as you arent struggling and living above your means I see nothing wrong with it. Evenmore so when you use it to build your credit. Sometimes a credit card here or there isnt enought...you need to prove that you can finance larger items and be accountable for them. This will increase your score, rates, and chance for getting into a good home.

I have a 2001 Accord EX Coupe, one of the cleanest 6th gen Accords on the road, I payed $8500 for it, put a $1,000 down, and had my dad finance it (4 year loan), because he has flawless credit.
The car had 68,000 miles on it when I bought it (now has 95,000). Car is in fantastic shape, door panels are now trashed thanks to me (but new ones are cheap, thank god).

48 x 200 = $9,600

Good deal there. I cut a check for my 99' Civic Ex coupe w/ 45,000 miles for $7k out the door. I've been driving it for 4 1/2 years now. I just touched 125,500 miles. People bash honda's but shit, I've put MAYBE 1,500 to 2,000 dollars in repairs into it. I only forked over that much because I let shit wait too long before I had it tuned up, and being young and dumb, I'd take it to the Honda dealership for their work (costing me 200% more than the local repair shop). Repairs on my car so far have been, starter/distributor replaced, wheel bearings, brakes, and regular oil changes. Just basic stuff. I really want to start looking into picking up a different car or a bike, just because I'm American and I need more lol
