so. today I was getting ready to install my amp and subs, and I was going to mount the amp to the back wall of the trunk, as many do. So, I start drilling a hole (with a power drill), and after the hole is made, I hear some air escaping, and smell gas. I had drilled a hole into my gas tank. F*cking nazi germans put the gas tank right behind the back seat. One little spark, and I would be here posting right now. So I put a big screw and jb welded it, and I hope that sh*t dont explode on me if it ever gets ony me equipment.

so, would it be ok to just mount the amp on top of the sub box? I see many ppl doing that, but I always thought that the vibrations would make some of the components loose or something.........

Mount the Amp on Rubber Riser's.

Benz are cheap junk, So much So they use them for taxi's over there.

JB weld will be fine. Next time look under there before drilling.

the first time i ran a power wire in my car i accidently drilled right into my cars break booster.. no vaccuum pressure and no brakes ftl.

This is why you always look before you drill.......
