Just FYI to all those naysayers. EVEN if you withdraw the money xx amount of months later paypal says: Hey, the money was fake, so now we're taking yours, because your account is now $xxxx.xx dollars negative.

true and can probably ruin your credit and send collections after you. dunno how true that is but i do know they keep all your checking info and unless you change the account numbers they will take it out without even asking not right away but they will. i renember when someone was trying to scam me i provided paypal all the proof that he was at fault and even proof that they wouldnt get their money ever if they judged his way wiht a copy of my shitty credit report and my bank account saying its closed //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/tongue.gif.6130eb82179565f6db8d26d6001dcd24.gif

Just so you know OP, if you do not send the item to a confirmed address you will not get any type of help from Ebay or Paypal.

I know it's been said a 100 times already but it is a scam. You will find these most prevalent in the typical for sale sections on sites like this. I get lots of offers through my Yahoo mail from people in other countries wanting to foward me millions of dollars because they cannot get it out of the county and then in return only want me to give them a few thousand back.

i got scammed by somebody in nigeria for a razor cellie.....i was in a rush and overlooked these emails...... they honestly looks like paypal etc.......i lost over 200 for that transaction after i mailed it for 40 over seas........stupid me:crap:

I wonder how they would go after you if you closed your paypal and bank account. The bank account I have with paypal is no longer valid. I would guess they would have to try to track you down somehow.

i got ripped off for $1900 on a laptop on ebay.

after i took the money out of my paypal account and shipped the laptop paypal decided that it was a stolen credit card and withdrew the money from my paypal account.

well after a while of it being negative i got a letter from a collection agency...

but i have still not paid it and hopefully will never have to.

I'm so glad I now do not have to deal with any of that. I got everything cleared up with both ebay and paypal. Ebay said they were going to do an investigation but they most likely have tons of investigations going on at the moment and the likliness that this guy suffers any consequences is doubtfull.

Ebay ****ed up on my fees

I sold one item for 200 bucks and they say I owe them like $100 in fees.

they send me an email explaining where and why I owe this but they are wrong.

I tried to explain to them but they won't credit my account.

so I am refusing to pay.
