I'm in the market for a cheap gas-friendly car that I can throw a decent system in, and I found this:

2002 Honda Civic LX

57,205 miles

4 Cylinder 1.7L

33city/40highway

Power Windows

Power Door Locks

Power Mirrors

Aftermarket CD Player (nothing special, but better than a cassette player)

Tires have about 85%+ tread left

Interior is 100% spotless

Exterior has a few minor blemishes, and an inch or so long messed up spot on the door trim above the driver's side pillar, but nothing thats a big deal.

Engine compartment is clean, the car is mechanically sound and runs and drives great.

Getting it from a friend that works at a Porsche dealer, and he has had it inspected for anything wrong mechanically. Inspection showed nothing wrong mechanically. Gonna get a carfax tomorrow morning.

I'm getting it at wholesale, for $8,092, they have it listed at $11,545.

What do you guys think about it??? I realize it's not the manliest car out there, but for the price I think I can't do much better. I've been looking at '02+ Camrys and '03+ Accords, but I would have to stick with something around 90,000 miles or so at around the same price, and that's getting them from an auction at wholesale.

Sounds like it fits your needs well. It's a honda, so it's reliable and will last forever with proper maintenance.. I'd buy it. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/fyi.gif.9f1f679348da7204ce960cfc74bca8e0.gif

Nice little cars, just don't go ricing it to hell and back.

When we were looking for a new car for my soon to be wife, we looked at an EX 05 I believe and had 20k on it and they were asking 14k for it. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif Ended up bringing it down to 11,900 to get in our payment, but we ended up just fixing her car.

Well 6 months later, I may be going back to that dealership as I am tired of throwing money away in her car as it is something else going on it per week.

So this may be a car we look back into. Drives nice, but is a dog, but don't care as it is hers and will be a gas saver. Pretty roomy for a little car as well, much more than my Focus ST actually.

It's just a little bit small for my taste (i'm used to the '96 Mercedes), but the gas mileage makes me wanna splurge, and by that I don't mean splurge as in buying.

Only things I plan on doing to it are tinting the windows, throwing a new cd player in there, and then putting some subs and speakers in it. I'm not big into spoilers/exhausts/decals/etc, and trying to make this car fast would be a waste of money.

I loved how it drove, it was just a little slower than i'm used to. I can get used to it if I save a ton of money on gas though, and I tend to be heavy-footed on the gas pedal so a low-power car like this will encourage me to drive like a granny.

Definitely is roomy as hell, and I love the layout of the interior.

just get a crx for like 1500
Not a big fan... and I don't plan on competing any time soon. Besides, i've driven shitty cars in my day and I would rather just spend my hard-earned money on something at least decent. Nothing against CRX's they just aren't my bag of tea. I would think about buying one if I was going to invest $5,000+ in car audio at this current juncture.

my girlfriend has that exact same car in white and while it's definitely not the manliest car around i drive it every chance i can because of the gas mileage. that one has really low mileage on it too, nice find...

How long has she had it, and has she had any problems with it??? Yeah, the mileage is what I love about it.... reallllllly low for the year.

And on the manliness note, I would definitely not buy it in white... silver is bad enough lol.
