Would you pay $60/mnth for 1.5 Meg internet? and $130 for satellite?

WEll my "promotional" year is up for my internet service.. Im just out of city limits so they **** you with charges, as I was paying $34 / mth for 1.5 meg, now it up to $61.02//:verymad: I dunno what to do , thats the only thing I can get unless directv has internet.. \

Speaking of directv To anyone that has it how much do you pay.. I have the Premier package which is 210 "cable " channels and 65 movie ( 6 hbo, 8 cimemax, 6 stars etc etc ) + dvr and hd But they ALWAYS seem to put just that ONE channel you want in a big package //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/furious.gif.fc81ca146dbff91fede3ed290dbc4f4c.gif

So basically just wondering what everyone pays, and If that AtT Tverse is worth it, or maybe some other options, cuz $200 a month for Net and tv can kiss my ***

weird.. Charter up here has 20 meg for $55 . I missed the city limit cutoff by 2 miles

We pay $60 per month for verizon mifi wireless. It is a wireless router that we can take anywhere (motels, while driving, traveling) as long as there is verizon service area its 3g speed and it has a 4hr battery life also when its not plugged in in case youre driving. I forgot exactly what speed it is but it is fairly fast enough. I play online games and download **** with it pretty easily.

i live out side the limits of the DFW area

everyone about 10 miles east of me pays $40 and gets 7-10Mbps

I pay $30 for 3Mbps

They want $79.99 for 3Mbps.

I had to talk to them and tell them they are charging $60 when verizon is charging $30 for 2-3 times the speed

Satellite internet sucks. They tell you how great the bandwidth is, and the bandwidth is fine... but the ping rate sucks, and always will. That satellite is a long long ways up in the sky, which kills ping rate. Online gaming was awful using satellite when I had it. I downloaded data using the sat connection, but for gaming I went back to dial-up.

free 16 meg innanets (speedtest @ 30meg), and free tv every channel + 7 bucks a mo for HD DVR

Satellite internet isn't that bad as long as you can get a good signal. I was able to play 360 and PS3 online with no issues, downloaded around 150-180kbps, and stream just about anything with no problems. But if you live in the woods or when it's windy, cloudy, or a storm you can pretty much count on it not working and if it does work it's not even as fast as a dial up connection. I have my DSL line and I also have the LG Env Touch with unlimited data and use it to connect to the internet through USB and get over 100kbps. I only have to pay $20 a month extra to get the unlimited data which also includes unlimited text and picture messages. I would suggest looking into one of the cell phone services before going with the more expensive choice.
