Oh
Car is a Corvette C5 coupe. Looking at using the following equiptment. CD- Alpine 9855, Door speakers CDT HD-642 3 way component set(200 watts RMS), Sub CDT CL-1015 classic 10" sub (400 watts RMS) and a Mmats SQ4150 4 channel amp (4X150) to drive it all. Anyting I am overlooking, and do ya think should I step up to the CDT ES-SQ10 euro-sport 10" sub.

My goals for the system are SQ first SPL second. I want to keep the install nice and clean so one amp and a single 10 in a sealed box made for my C5 by subthump. Also, the amp will be in the open and I like a more old school look, again nice and clean, JMHO.

Thanks for the input will be ordering in the next few days,

Darion

I would swap the '55 out because I personally don't like the Glide Touch, but the rest of it sounds solid...I've never heard the CDT sub line, but apparently they aren't too bad from what I've read.

Sounds like a very good SQ setup if proper attention is paid to the installation. Just add ample amounts of a quality sound deadener, and you're set //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Thanks for the info. I will be dynamating the doors and heat sound insulating the the interior with a kit made for my car. I'm not that cool with the glide touch either but I haven't found anything else I really like. Looked at Eclipse CD8445 but seemed like over the top to me, the whole E-iserve memory stick stuff, idunno. Anyway, any input is welcome and I will look at all suggestions before ordering up.

Thanks

Darion

I just bought a 9835 in like-new condition...I would suggest that route for you if you stay Alpine //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Wow, your fast so ignore the IM. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/eek.gif.771b7a90cf45cabdc554ff1121c21c4a.gif

Thanks again and I will look that up,

Darion

I'd take the 9855 over any of the Eclipse units. Better interface, better looks, and if you use an iPod it's a no-brainer. Even w/ MP3 CD's the Alpine is much easier to use. Remote is very intuitive. For $200 less, it's a no-brainer for me.

whats your budget for all this?
I'm at about $1700 now could go to $2200 if I thought the difference was worth it. I would need information on why I would want to spen the extra. So if I'm convienced that say an amp is worth an extra $250 I would be willing to do it.

Thanks to all for your info,

Darion

P.S. Whats wrong with Mmats amps???
