Would this be safe to do?

Basically the coil is a little fucked up, and I have to chose from either a 2.5 ohm load or a .9/.8 ohm load.

I am currently using a hifonics bxi 1210d amp, would this amp be able to handle a little under the 1 ohm stable?

Kind of a nubby question I know, but I just want to be safe here.

it should be fine, most sub coils are not exact

you will be seeing box rise so it will be over 1 ohm.

should be fine, but music is ever changing frequencies, and some the rise will not be enough. i think he'll be alright, but theres a lot of factors.

Mine ALWAYS read to the thousandth of an ohm //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif

You should be fine taking into account rise. Maintaining your voltage would probably be your biggest concern dropping to that load.
