Would this be a good match?

I've got two 12 inch p3's with D2 voice coil configuration. The only way I can wire them is to 2 ohms because I don't have the electrical to run .5 ohms.

I guess my first question is: how much power should I give them? They're rated at 500wrms, but will they handle more power?

I know that they aren't the best subs, but I got the pair for $50, so I thought I'd take them.

The amp I'm thinking of is the Hifonics Bxi2008. It does 1300 at 2 ohms. Would this be a good match?

1000 at 2.

a t3002 would be pretty good match, over 800 rms at 2 ohm bridged for $150

Id give them a little less power personally. if you set your gains conservatively the amp will be find if you ever want to upgrade but if not id get something a little less

So, you guys are saying around 800-1000 watts would be good?
