Would this AMP work good for 2 12" Alpine Type Rs?

Say a couple feet. I had a 14' run of 1/0 running from the front batt to the back batt and then to a distribution block, since the ap1500 only accepts 4 gauge I had a 1 foot run of 4gauge from the distro block to the amp.

yes but then you would be underpowering them....i suggest getting 1000watt amp and be done with it if you dont want to upgrade past 4 GA....think there is a SAE-1000D in the classifieds...

The 1500 will only accept up to 4gauge as it only has 4 gauge terminals but It is always wise to live by bigger is better when running wire just buy a distro block they are cheap on ebay, hell I have 2 runs of 2/0 right now and will only be running about 2.5k with 4 extra batts in the back, Over kill on electric is always a smart move

2 alpine R 12's require 1000rms to 2000rms. for the pair. why are you so flakey about upgrading your power wire? If I remember, each sub you have is 500rms-1500peak. Therefore you need 1000rms to 2000rms at 3000peak. That is a whole lota juice to be trying to squeze out a litle tiny4 gauge wire BUB. Stop being a NOOB and learn from those that been there. You have a budget?... If so, then get an amp that can push just one sub porperly, which would be 500rms-1500peak. If your smart about it, you would get a mono block , so that later when you gots mo money, you can get the other mono block and strap them together. Listen and plan NOOB
