Why do you say that? That Kenwood amp doesn't do rated, you'll be lucky to get 700w at 1 ohm.
A lot of inflated wattage amps are on the market right now that don't match their claimed power on the cardboard boxes they come in. Therefore, we have someone in particular here bigblank69 who has been testing a lot of amps lately and providing TRUE wattage from them. Why do you say that?
Do you think a Kenwood branded AMP could do this?A lot of inflated wattage amps are on the market right now that don't match their claimed power on the cardboard boxes they come in. Therefore, we have someone in particular here bigblank69 who has been testing a lot of amps lately and providing TRUE wattage from them.
Why are you asking the same question again? Hook the amp to the subs it'll be fine. It's not gonna blow the windows out,no. But it'll provide some thump for ya.Do you think a Kenwood branded AMP could do this?
Because I have seen actual tests of that amp and it does the same at 1 ohm as it does at 2 ohms and it doesn't make rated power at 2 ohms. Kenwood amps are cheap entry level equipment. Why do you say that?
like i said that amp is fine for those subs but if u wanta up grade amp or subs come back and well advise u on better subs and amp that does rated.. even my ppi amo in sig tested over 1100rms @ 1 ohm $165Do you think a Kenwood branded AMP could do this?
Looks like you have a 130A stock alternator which is good size. Just make sure you're using adequate power wire -- quality 4 awg is what you should be using. And make sure you're making good connections at every point. The ground side is just as important as the (+) side. Find a piece of structural metal, sand the paint off, make a good, clean connection. Thanks for all the advice guys!!! One more question!
Is there anything I need to do to make sure my car has enough power to power the amplifier? I have a 2005 Acura MDX.
