Would it be an upgrade?

Hey everybody. As some of you do, and some don't know, I'm running a 15" Type R in a box that gave it about 2.8 cubic feet, unsure about tuning. I sold all of that today for about $215.

 

Talking to SKAR Audio, they said they could make & ship me a box for about $125, and I may have the option to get a Sundown 15" E-series sub (for a good price!). I was just wondering if you guys thought this would be an upgrade, downgrade, or break even with my Type R. What would be the best specs of the box to make this thing sound the best? It can't be too big - I need to fit it in the trunk of a car.

You're missing my point. I'm asking how the E-15 would compare with the Type R. If it wouldn't be as good, then I will save up more money.

Yea.. pointless upgrade in my opinion.. you'll probably notice a difference in SQ but I would put money on you not noticing any output gain.

now for the next few months she will want to keep upgrading like everyone else . my most consistant part of my stuff is a 4 channel .everything else is switched alot lol
