would I wire this in series?

I have a 15 with dual .7 coils. If I want to wire this to a viper 1200.1 for the most power I can get would I have to do it in series? If so than I need to have it wired like this?

P.S. I did a search and came up with nothing... I also have tried the amplifier wiring thread but no one has replied to that in days... thanks for the help.

Wiring in series increases the resistance....so you'd get a 1.4 ohm load. And yes, your diagram show the VC's wired in series. BTW, what sub has .7 ohm coils???

its a scottie johnson RE MT/ eclipse hybrid that I got from imaspaceguy. Its been passed around the forums but I think imma gonna keep it. Hopefully I'll get a box made for it this weekend if one of the multiple box designers would PM me back...

i would get a different amp though, you probably wont even get 1000 watts from it.

that is the amp i have so im going to use it. anyway i just dropped cash on a component amp and soon some new 6.5's so im strapped. it will do just fine.
