I currently have a JVC head unit (can't remember exact model number) that I love 99% of the time only issue is it only has 2 pre-outs I really don't wanna spend another 120-200 on a new head unit with the same features I'm thinking about getting a line out converter and putting it on the rear speaker outputs will this work?

New deck is best. Features is just features but the sound quality improvement you'll see will be massive. Just save up. Get something nice thats active capable with time alignment and better 13 band graphical/7 band parametric + EQ along with quality 24 bit DACs. Most JVC lower lines are lower quality 16 bit DAC at best.

I'm kinda a noob at this been into car audio a while but never got deep into it. What's the difference between passive and active crossovers

get the 80prs, you will not regret it.

i love mine. well worth the money.

and your not going to find a better h/u cheaper.

its best to do h/u first.

as with a better h/u your sub will sound better.

uhm no. It'll still be a massive difference once you set the time alignment properly. Overall sound will be massively improved. You have no idea how big of an impact an SQ oriented head unit will have on the sound vs some joe blow headunit.

Either way I don't wanna let this amp slip away so the HU will be replaced later maybe I can find one used
